Dodge backwards after blocking the Xielong dive Critical Blow, or prepare to deflect both spins, whichever you feel more comfortable with.Īfter powering up his Morale Rank after you get a Fatal Strike in, he has a new combo where his sword becomes magically imbued, and he performs 4 rapid aerial spins, slashing diagonally down each time. Should you deflect this Xielong attack, once he has recovered, he will similarly almost always launch into a follow-up Critical Blow attack, this time in the form of two 360 degree spins with an outstretched blade. Unlike Yu Ji however, as the Blindfolded Boy descends he transforms into the Xielong form, though your approach to this attack remains the same.ĭeflect just as he/it reaches you, and you'll have more time than Yu Ji's version of the attack, as the Xielong form drags itself along the floor more as it makes its way towards you, giving you more of an opportunity to react. If you successfully deflect this, he will almost always immediately follow it up with a upward spinning slash Critical Blow attack, so after the deflection of the grab, ALWAYS be ready to deflect again almost immediately do not go on the offensive till both have been deflected.Īnother Critical Blow that the Blindfolded Boy mimics from Yu Ji is a float into the air, before spiral spinning down towards you. Just like Yu Ji, a Critical Blow attack combo to be aware of is a grab, which is telegraphed by him raising his left hand as he slightly levitates into the air, which must be deflected as he reaches out to grab you. These are locking on to you, so just keep moving and more often than not you'll completely evade any of them as they come down, though you can deflect just as they reach you should you get caught beneath one. He can also summon giant icicles that gradually spawn in at random points in the arena, descending from the sky and slowly coming down, emiting a small AOE blast as they make contact with you/the ground. ![]() He will more often than not also use this move as a finisher to his bouncing around on the swords move mentioned above, so be prepared to not only deflect the swords, but the delayed incoming slash as well. This can come from across the entire arena, so don't think that distance will keep you safe from the slash. He will slightly crouch down and place his hand on his hilt within his holster as the energy builds around the sword, before lunging and slashing at you. The Blindfolded Boy can also imbue his sword with ashen white energy, and perform a charged slash towards you. If he does multiple bounces between various swords, that'll demand the same amount of deflections. This'll require you to hit deflect about a second after he jumps, as the sword he bounced from will also rapidly descend towards you. ![]() Unlike Yu Ji however, the Blindfolded Boy can also bounce into the air, using a floating sword he summons as a bouncepad to jump left or right. This move can also be performed as he floats in the air, with the projectiles launching at you immediately upon being summoned, as opposed to staying floating above his head like the other variant of the move. Deflect the clusters of swords that come to you consecutively to come out unscathed. He can summon a circle of spectral swords above his head that, once all summoned, will fire in a narrow beeline towards you. Many of the attacks in his moveset are directly taken from the Yu Ji boss fight, so feel free to remind yourself of that boss encounter before taking this fight on. ![]() The Blindfolded Boy is an incredibly agile and aggressive enemy, using various magical attacks to launch projectiles, whilst also imbuing his sword with additional power. This has twisted his mind, and he draws his sword, ready to attack you. After revealing that the Blindfolded Boy merged with the Xielong demon, and as a result now has the dragon's Elixir Field within his body.
